EXTRACT from the Rules of competitive acceptance

CONTEST CONDUCT

1. Competitive tests for students who enter the 5th-9th grades of an educational institution are conducted on subjects that correspond to the specialization of the institution, in written and (or) oral forms, namely: Ukrainian language - testing (for 5-7 classes); dictation (for grades 8-9), mathematics - written work and creative competition (the purpose of the creative competition is to reveal the child's creative abilities for invention and the level of development of logical thinking; interest in computer technologies, architecture, robotics, the child's interest in the future profile of education - engineering).

2. Competitive tests for students who enter the 10th and 11th grades of the school are conducted in subjects corresponding to the specialization of the institution, in written and (or) oral forms, namely: Ukrainian language - dictation, physics - written work, creative competition in technical creativity (robotics).

3. The number of admissions and subject commissions, the form of conducting and the number of competitive tests (but no more than three, taking into account the interview) is determined every year by the director's order.

4. Tickets, texts of dictations, variants of written tasks (tests), topics of creative works for competitive tests, the content of which corresponds to the curricula of the secondary comprehensive school of the corresponding class, are developed by methodical commissions of teachers (departments) and approved by the director. Partial use of creative tasks is possible. Each entrance exam is evaluated on a 12-point scale. Children with a low level of knowledge (1, 2, 3 points) are not allowed to enroll.

5. Competitive tasks are kept by the director of the institution in a sealed envelope, which is opened on the day of the test by the head of the subject commission in the presence of its members and entrants.

6. To conduct a competitive test in written form, entrants are issued a paper with a stamp of the institution.

7. The head of the competition commission determines the scope and duration of the entrants' writing of written works, preparation for the oral examination by tickets, and other types of tests for each age group separately.

8. Pupils can be admitted to an educational institution based on an interview (or a creative competition), if the child previously studied in an educational institution of the same type and/or specialization.

9. Graduates of the secondary school SSU "Children's Engineering Academy" of Mykhailo Drahomanov State University enter the educational institution on the basis of the transfer of points (points from the protocols of the state final certification are entered into the protocol of the admissions committee) - the results of the DPA in Ukrainian language and physics and pass an interview (creative competition) on general terms, together with other contestants.

10. Participants of international Olympiads, prize-winners of the III-IV stages of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiads, as well as prize-winners of the II and III stages of the research defense competitions of the Small Academy of Sciences of the current year are exempted from the competitive test in the relevant subject. In this case, the maximum number of points (12) is assigned to the student.

11. The results of competitive tests (including interviews) are drawn up in the form of protocols of the relevant commission, which are kept in the same order as the protocols of the state final certification of students.

12. The results of the written test are announced no later than three days after its completion. Lists of entrants with posted scores are posted on the school's official website for public viewing.

ENROLLMENT PROCEDURE

1. Children who, according to the rating, passed the competition, are admitted to the institution by order of the director based on the decision of the competition (pedagogical) commission. Enrollment is carried out by order of the director no later than August 31 of the current year, and in the case of competitive selection during the academic year - within 5 days after the announcement of the competition results.

2. If students, their parents or persons who replace them do not agree with the decision of the competitive (pedagogical) commission, they can appeal to the head of the commission. The appeal is submitted within 3 (three) days after the announcement of the competition results and is considered within 5 (five) days from the date of submission. A commission is created to consider the appeal, the number and composition of which is determined by the director of the educational institution. Conducting additional tests during the appeal is prohibited.

3. If the conclusions of the appeal commission do not satisfy the persons who filed the appeal, the latter may appeal to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, which creates its appeal commission, whose decision is final.

4. To enroll a student in an educational institution, the following documents are submitted by parents or persons who replace them: a copy of an ID card or birth certificate, personal file, a medical card (certificate) of the established model, a certificate of basic secondary education and an appendix to it.

5. Children who are enrolled in an educational institution, but do not start classes without valid reasons within 10 days from the beginning, are excluded.

CONTROL OF THE COMPETITION

1. The director of the educational institution is responsible for compliance with the requirements of these Rules.

2. Control over the organization and conduct of the competition, the procedure for enrolling children in an educational institution and its results is entrusted to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

3. If an educational institution violates the requirements of the Orders of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and these Rules, according to the decision of the relevant Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the results of the competition are considered invalid. In this case, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine organizes and conducts a repeat competition, the results of which are final.
